We were really pleased with this marina as well as the whole island. La Gomera is beautiful and relatively unspoilt by tourism.
The marina itself is in a great location. It's right in the heart of the town with loads of bars and restaurants. There is also a big supermarket where you can get any kind of food and there is a market just outside for fruit, veg and meat.
From the marina you can walk to various hiking trails which take you all over the island. The bus station is a 5 minute walk away and from there you can also get to different hiking spots. The island attracts lots of hikers as it is so well mapped and offers stunning scenery.
Getting into the marina is relatively easy. It is well marked with a clear channel once to get behind the wall. There are often ferries or cruise ships along the wall so look out for the pilot boats assisting them when leaving. Once in the channel you can follow it in and the marina staff assist you to moor up on the finger pontoons. The space between the pontoons is tight so in strong winds it can be a bit hairy!
There is electric and water on each finger pontoon and wifi is free, just ask at the office when you check in. We found it quite hit and miss on the boat but it's quite good sat on the benches outside the office.
The price for us at 13m was 27€ so quite reasonable and there is also fuel available there which is again quite reasonable.
Overall, a lovely island that is definitely worth a visit.
