Rubicon is a marina of mixed emotions for us! The location and facilities there are fantastic but it comes at a high price!
Upon entering, you go onto the visitors/fuel pontoon on port side, which is next to the office. The staff measure your boat and instead of paying for your length, you pay for your berth. As we are slightly over 13m (because of our anchor on the front) we had to go in to a 15m berthing, which is obviously quite a bit more - 14€ per night more! We weren’t too happy with this but we wanted to stay in a marina so had to go with it. We had this 15m berth for a couple of nights but then they wanted us to move into an 18meter berth (and pay even more) so we left!
The marina itself though is beautiful. Very clean and modern and there are so many bars, restaurants, desert parlours and shops. The layout is fantastic- it’s like a little complex, you could spend a day walking around! On a Saturday there is a market on, selling clothes, gifts and food at good prices.
On the pontoons there is water and electric and the marina does have WiFi which is quite good.
Overall, a gorgeous marina where you could spend a lot of time but be prepared to pay for it!
