Las Palmas marina is a great marina in many ways. There are numerous bars and restaurants around the actual marina, and Las Palmas city centre is a 5 min walk, as is the beach front. The city is huge with loads of shops, a massive indoor food market and lots of things to see and do. Bare in mind, if you have a dog, you can’t walk in certain areas by the beaches as it’s illegal and you get a big fine (we managed to plead our way out of this, just!)
Las Palmas marina is the marina many boats leave from with the Arc and it’s obvious why, as there are loads of chandlery shops around the harbour, as well as boat yards and boat builders. They all do discounts if you are with the Arc, we were not, but the prices are still quite good.
There is electric and water on the pontoons and it’s a Mediterranean style mooring, picking up the anchor lines from the pontoon and tying off at far end of the boat. There is WiFi but you have to pay for it so we just used the WiFi in bra and restaurants we visited.
The best thing about this marina though was the price - we paid 13€ per night - the cheapest we’ve ever had!
One bad point to mention ... getting hold of the marina is nightmare - we phoned for 2 days with no answer or engaged dial tone and when radioing through, we tried for 2 hours before we got a response! When you get through eventually, they tell you to wait outside in anchorage until they radio. Once radioed you have to go into marina on the reception pontoon, and then check in with the office. I was in the office for 2 hours waiting to check in (and another 2 waiting to check out) - be prepared for a long queue! They do it on a ticket system though so you could go off for a walk and come back I suppose.
Overall, great location, good services, loads of chandleries and amazing price, only downside is the faff of radioing through / checking in.
