Camerat is a nice marina in a good location. There are actually two marinas but we had to stay in the outer one as the one closer to the town dries in places and is too shallow for us. The outer marina has walk ashore pontoons with water and electric and is quite a nice little marina. It’s only about a 5 minute walk along the sea wall to get into the town and it’s a picturesque walk - there are some old ruins of boats along the walk which are really cool too!
The town has lots of bars and restaurants along the sea front as well as a large supermarket around 20 mins walk from the marina. There are also lots of ice cream shops and bakeries and on a Saturday there is a market selling French items.
Getting into the marina we were in was really easy, nothing major to look out for and the depth was fine for us so we didn’t need to worry. Pontoon are large and there’s a fair bit of space so easy to moor up and leave.
The staff were lovely - we didn’t need to speak to them much except to pay but the lady on the desk speaks good English and was very nice.
There is WiFi there which was ok, not the quickest but it did work and if it’s just needed to check weather then it’s perfect.
Price of the marina was ok, it was around €40 for the night.
We did get boarded by customs here - they have a huge ship that they anchor way outside the marina and then come in on a rib. They were very polite, didn’t stay too long and only looked in a few cupboards and checked our papers so it was nothing at all to worry about.
Over all a nice marina, we probably wouldn’t go back again as we felt we saw it all in our couple of days stay but we wouldn’t avoid it, like some of the other ones we’ve stayed in!
